January - Kings Crown
Our first block is Kings Crown. You will need 3 fabrics - 1 light, 1 medium and 1 dark. The instructions below show the same block assembled using 2 different techniques. Technique 1 conserves fabric but is cut on the bias. Technique 2 has a bit more waste but does not require bias cuts. Choose your preferred technique

A variation of Cindy's block incorporating a fussy cut center
The block on the left is a variation of Kings Crown. Cut and sew pieces as directed, then rotate unit B/C 180* before assembling and sewing together. It gives the block a totally different look!
